Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Riff's website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

Riff is operated by Koilabs LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. Registered Address: 5830 E 2nd St, Ste 7000 #32490, Casper, WY 82609.

Description of Service

Riff is a content creation platform that helps creators produce consistent, authentic content through AI-powered interview-style extraction. The service includes voice learning, content generation, and multi-platform publishing features.

Account Registration

To use Riff, you must:

Be at least 18 years old
Provide accurate and complete registration information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

Subscription & Payments

Free Tier:

3 posts per month
Voice profile learning capped at 30%
No credit card required

Paid Subscriptions:

Billed monthly via LemonSqueezy
Prices are in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes
Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled

Cancellation:

You may cancel your subscription at any time
Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period
Your content remains accessible; you can export it before your subscription ends

7-Day Money-Back Guarantee:

First-time subscribers may request a full refund within 7 days of their initial charge
Refunds are prorated based on usage: full refund if fewer than 5 content generations; 50% refund if 6-20 generations; no refund if more than 20 generations
One refund per customer (tracked by payment method)
EU customers have a 14-day withdrawal right under EU Consumer Protection law

Failed Payments:

If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you and retry the charge
If payment cannot be processed after 7 days, your account will be downgraded to the free tier

Content Ownership & License

Your Content: You retain full ownership of all content you create using Riff, including interview transcripts, drafts, and published content. Riff claims no intellectual property rights over your content.

License to Us: You grant Riff a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and display your content solely to provide the service. This license terminates when you delete your content or account.

Our Content: The Riff platform, including its design, features, and code, is owned by Riff and protected by intellectual property laws.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Riff to:

Create content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory
Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
Generate spam, misleading content, or content intended to deceive
Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
Interfere with the proper functioning of the service
Use automated means to access the service without permission
Resell or redistribute the service without authorization
Create multiple accounts to circumvent free tier limits or abuse refund policies

Export Controls: You represent that you are not located in, organized under the laws of, or ordinarily resident in a country subject to US embargo (currently Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, or the Crimea region), and you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

AI-Generated Content

Content generated by Riff is created using AI based on your inputs. You acknowledge and agree that:

Riff is a tool provider, not a content publisher — we do not endorse or guarantee any AI-generated content
All AI-generated content is provided "AS IS" without guarantees of accuracy, completeness, originality, or suitability for any purpose
You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing all AI-generated content before use or publication
AI outputs may contain factual errors, biased statements, or inappropriate content that you must identify and correct
Riff makes no representations about the copyright status of AI-generated content
You should not rely on AI-generated content for legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice
You agree to indemnify Riff for any claims arising from your publication of AI-generated content

Third-Party Integrations

Riff may integrate with third-party services (e.g., LinkedIn, newsletter platforms). Your use of these integrations is subject to those services' terms. We are not responsible for third-party services' availability, functionality, or content policies.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with at least 30 days' notice for material changes affecting core functionality. Minor updates and bug fixes may be deployed without notice. Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible.

Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, natural disasters, pandemics, internet failures, or third-party service outages.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES REGARDING THE QUALITY, ACCURACY, OR RELIABILITY OF CONTENT GENERATED THROUGH THE SERVICE.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RIFF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Riff and its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination:

Your right to use the service ends immediately
You may request export of your content within 30 days
We may delete your data after 30 days

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the platform. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Copyright & DMCA

If you believe content on Riff infringes your copyright, please notify us at legal@getriff.app with:

Identification of the copyrighted work
Location of the allegedly infringing material
Your contact information
A statement of good faith belief that use is not authorized
A statement that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

We will investigate and remove infringing content as appropriate. Repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.

Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

Informal Resolution: Before filing any legal claim, you agree to contact us at legal@getriff.app to attempt informal resolution for at least 30 days.

Binding Arbitration: Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be settled by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, rather than in court. Arbitration will take place in Wyoming or remotely at your election.

Class Action Waiver: You agree to bring claims individually, not as part of a class action or representative proceeding.

Exceptions: Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property infringement or violations of acceptable use policies.

Opt-Out: You may opt out of arbitration by emailing legal@getriff.app within 30 days of account creation with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out".

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
